Sensory Friendly Bags

Sensory Friendly Library Bags at the Pawtucket Public Library
What is a sensory-friendly library bag?
The sensory friendly library bag has tools for children with autism, but it may be used to soothe any child and alleviate sensory overload.
Each Sensory Bag includes the following:
- 1 muted noise canceling headphones
- 1 Bunmo stretchy string
- 1 pair of sunglasses
- 1 liquid motion bubbler
- 4 communication cards
- 1 fidget spinner/popper
A weighted blanket (3 to 5 lbs.) is available upon request.
Where can we borrow a sensory bag?
These bags are available for in-library use only and can be picked up in the children’s department (2nd floor) and returned before leaving. No library card needed.
The Pawtucket Public Library provides these sensory friendly resources to help everyone feel welcomed at the library.
