Book a librarian for up to an hour-long appointment, personalized to meet your information needs. These sessions are designed to provide one-on-one instruction of library resources or technology questions. To book a librarian, please call the Reference Desk at 725-3714 ext. 220 or email to reference@pawtucketlibrary.org. Based on expertise and availability, a librarian best-suited to meet your individual informational needs will contact you to set up a free one-hour session.

We cannot offer advice (medical, legal, investment, tax preparation), except to advise you of reputable sources of information. We cannot type or proofread your document, resume, cover letter, etc. Also, we cannot offer troubleshooting or maintenance help with personal computers, laptops or devices. We cannot assist you with credit card transactions.
Tech help is available in these book a librarian sessions. We will discuss your tech help needs when making your appointment. Please note that our librarians do not troubleshoot personal computer equipment.
We’d be glad to give you an overview of the genealogical resources available both in the library and online that you can use in your research.
We will look at your appointment request and determine the best librarian to meet with you based on expertise and availability.
Each appointment may last up to one hour. Additional appointments can be requested with a maximum of two appointments per month.
Call or email the reference department to let us know what you would like help with and a time that is convenient for you. We require at least 24 hours advance notice for scheduling.
We do our best to book an appointment time that works for you during the library's regular opening hours. Appointments must be booked at least 24 hours in advance.
Visit the Reference Desk on the second floor of the Sayles Building of the library. Your personal Reference librarian will meet you there and direct you to the area you will be using.
