Passport Acceptance Office

Apply for your U.S. passport at the Pawtucket Public Library’s Passport Acceptance Facility Office. We offer complete passport services including passport photos. 

Appointments are required. Please call the Passport Office agent at 401-725-3714 x212. Leave a message and the passport agent will return your call during passport office hours to schedule your appointment. Passport Office Hours: Monday to Thursday 4:00pm to 8:30pm and Saturdays from 1:00pm to 4:30pm. 

Note: The Passport Office will be closed May 15, and also from May 18 through May 25.

Passport Fees:
For payment, you will need to bring two checks or money orders in the exact amount for each of the two fees (see below). Cash and credit cards are not accepted. You will also need to bring proof of ID, such as a driver’s license; proof of U.S. citizenship, such as an original or certified birth or naturalization certificate, or a previous U.S. passport.

Routine Delivery (6 to 8 weeks):
The cost of a passport for adults (16 years of age or older) is $165.
This is payable in two checks or money orders of $130 and $35.

The cost of a passport for a child (15 years of age or under) is $135.
This is payable in two checks or money orders of $100 and $35.
 
Expedited Delivery (2 to 3 weeks):
For adults 16 and older, the cost is $225, payable in two checks or money orders of $190.00 and $35.
(To include overnight return delivery, the payments are $209.53 and $35.)

For children 15 and under, the cost is $195, payable in two checks or money orders of $160 and $35.
(To include overnight return delivery, the payments are $179.53 and $35.)

Passport Photo Fees:
We can take your passport photo in the Passport Office during your appointment. The fee is $15.00. 

 
Passports for Children Aged 15 and Under:
Both parents (or the child’s legal guardians) must appear with the child and present the following:

  • Evidence of the child’s U.S. citizenship, such as an original birth certificate;
  • Evidence of the child’s relationship to parents (original birth certificate); and
  • Parents’ government-issued ID (such as driver’s license).
